Mini-article: Solarity
By Hvassen • Jul 30th, 2010 • Category: Gossip / News
Ever heard of Solarity? A group of two members, Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman. They are based in London and started together in 2008 to produce under the name Solarity. Right now, they are signed to the Anjunadeep label that keeps other great artists like 16 Bit Lolitas, David West, Michael Cassette and Supermodels from Paris.
The first time I heard Solarity was when I opened one of all the promotional emails we receive each day. The mail contained two tracks, Seahorse Sea Hell and Mr. Balloon Hands (Witty Tunes) and sometimes you can hear directly that this sounds promising. So I started to look further for more information about the band, and I fell in love with what I found.
During the past summer months, I have not been able to stop listening to their two, in my opinion, best songs, Terminal 6 and Effra.
Not to be whiny, but much of today’s electronic music sounds very dull and similar to the next track, the hackneyed 808 Tom bassline, the simple melodic pattern, etc. I know, the simplest is the best and that is why I welcome Solarity with open arms into my iPod, with their smooth tones, massive sound and a bit of new thinking.
Have a listen to some of my favorite tracks below:

New daft punk songs leaked!
By Fredrik • Jul 29th, 2010 • Category: Gossip / News
Recently we posted 6 the offical tracks that Daft Punk have made for the movie Tron Legacy. But now 11 new tracks has been found.
“Yesterday, a french citizen uploaded a compilation of new “11″ songs from the BSO Tron Legacy added to the 6 songs published by “the end radio”. Its extremly amazing these tracks wich are classified in scenes.”
The 11 scenes-music have not been confirmed at the moment, but people begin to express their appreciation for these new songs which are in accordance with the daft punk sound, unlike the first six, which were described as loose and lacking in passion. Listen for yourself.

Forgotten summer hit?
By Hvassen • Jul 29th, 2010 • Category: Gossip / News
To be honest I didnt listened through the Booka Shade album “More” when it came out. But now that I’ve done that I regret that I didnt do it earlier. The album offers something for everyone, but I got stuck for one song, Regenerate, its such a summer bomb!
