Chad Valley (Hugo Manuel) is the front man for the Oxford band Jonquil. Chad has been producing his own tracks since one year back now. The first single Real Challenge is a streamlined experimental pop song that blends equal parts melancholy and dance beats that flirts freely with 80s synths. His tracks makes the perfect blend of indie-pop and electric beats. And the sound do have it’s similarities with the electro duo The Tough Alliance which is a good thing because I think they have stopped making music.
Chad Valley’s (Jonquil) remix of “Iron Deer Dream” appears on Fixers’ 2011 Young And Lost release.
Above is my absolute favourite of all his productions, so far. This starry-eyed remix of the indie-pop outfit’s “Iron Deer Dream” song is just amazing. As he often does, producer Hugo Manuel cuts the vocal samples into candy-coated hooks that should keep listeners humming along while his thumping dance beats and move your feet from side to side. “Iron Deer Dream (Chad Valley Remix)” includes a bouncing bass-line, classic piano chords and the artist’s repertoire.
