This week is a bit different, the reason is that I had a gig last weekend and found one of my forgotten CD Cases, dusty and dirty, lying in the closet. And I always feel the same nostalgia and elation when browsing through old records, partly because you are reminded of your own past musical taste but mainly because you find so much good music that you repressed.

And this week’s “bargain” was “Hello From Planet Earth” by Luna City Express. I am ashamed that I almost forgot that album, an album that is worth hanging on the wall.

In any case, I am glad we were reunited.

“Hello From Planet Earth” was released in 2009 on the German label Moon Harbour Recordings. The album consists of 13 songs ranging from genres such as deep house, downtempo, house, tech house and minimal. Of those 13 songs we have selected five, which in our opinion is the most brilliant ones, with the exception of “Mr. Jake Feat. Aaron Palmer” (“Mr.. Jack”) who have already received the respect it requires.

Unfortunately I found no longer versions of the songs on Soundcloud, but we urge you to buy the album, it’s worth the investment, we promise.

Happy Weekend!
